Chris Sheard, Chairman and Director

Mr. Sheard has over 25 years experience within the natural gas and electricity industries. He was a senior executive in the ATCO group of companies, most recently as President of ATCO Gas and Northwestern Utilities Limited, both Alberta based natural gas distribution firms. Within the ATCO Group, Mr. Sheard also held senior executive positions in other companies within the electricity and water utility industry. He is currently President of Fairman Holt Inc., an Edmonton based regulatory consulting firm. Mr. Sheard was formerly the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Gas Association and presently sits on the Board of the Centre for Applied Business Research into Energy and the Environment. He has also served as Board Chair of the Edmonton Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Sheard was President of Synodon between October 2003 and November 2005.

Adrian Banica, President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Mr. Banica started his first electronics instrumentation venture, Synodon Corporation in Edmonton in 1995. As President of Synodon Corporation, he led a team of 10 engineering staff in the design and manufacturing of pipeline inspection robots, flow-meters, data analysis software, and well operation automation. Through Synodon Corporation, Mr. Banica has also provided his project management and design expertise to a number of high profile space instrumentation projects: Thermal Plasma Analyzer, a Canadian instrument on board a Japanese Mars mission; ACTORS, a space shuttle scientific experiment; and Optical Inter-Satellite Link, a $150 million space laser communications project in Boulder, CO.

In 1999 Synodon Corporation was sold to a European firm Rhea Group SA, a space consulting firm with offices in London, Madrid and Brussels. He became Rhea Group SA's Vice President for North America and was a member of Rhea Group SA's board of Directors for 14 months.

Mr. Banica founded Synodon Inc. in 2000 and he has served as Chief Executive Officer and director since its inception.

John Pinsent, CA, Chief Financial Officer and Director

In 2004 Mr. Pinsent became a founding Senior Associate with St. Arnaud, Pinsent and Associates following a ten-year career with Ernst & Young LLP as an Assurance Senior Manager and their Director of Technology, Communication and Entertainment Assurance for Northern Alberta. Between 1986 and 1994, he served as Controller and Vice-President, Finance of an Alberta based retail organization with annual sales in excess of $10 million.

Mr. Pinsent has previously or currently serves as a director on a number of boards including InfoTech Alberta (Treasurer and Chairman), the audit committees of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and the ICAA Education Foundation. He sits on the advisory boards of a number of emerging technology companies including Optimum Communications Services Inc. and Fastrainer LLP. He has also played a key role in the creation of various financing forum initiatives across Alberta including the Banff Venture Forum, Alberta's Innovation and Investment Week, various BioFinance and Agrifinance events and currently serves as a Director of the Alberta California Venture Channel.

Erv Lack, PEng., MBA, Director

Mr. Lack has been the President and CEO of Canada Overseas Trade (2000) Corporation since 1999, which provides export consulting services for Canadian companies interested in entering into or expanding international business opportunities.

Between 1974 and 1996 Mr. Lack was Managing Director for International Trade with Alberta Economic Development and Tourism. He held various management positions in developing an effective government export services division to encourage Alberta companies to pursue international export marketing opportunities.

He currently serves on the board of numerous Canadian corporations including Hyduke Energy Services Inc. (TSXV-HYD), Bay Equities Inc. (TSXV-BEQ) and Teuton Resources Corporation (TSXV-TUO)

Nancy Laird, MBA, Director

Ms. Laird served as Senior Vice-President Marketing and Midstream for PanCanadian Energy from 1997 to 2002. Prior to joining PanCanadian, Ms. Laird was President of NrG Information Services Inc., a joint venture initiative involving four of North America's leading natural gas pipeline companies with a mandate to create a seamless flow of natural gas across North America. Currently Ms. Laird is a Board member for the Alberta Electric System Operators, Acclaim Energy Trust, Keyera (Formerly KeySpan) Facilities Income Fund and Hull Child and Family Services. Ms. Laird earned her MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.

Walter Stelmaschuk, M.B.A., Director

Mr. Walter Stelmaschuk brings over 15 years of executive level energy industry as well as over 17 years of Investment Dealer experience to Synodon’s board of directors. Mr. Stelmaschuk is currently a Director of Wavefront Energy & Environmental Services Inc. Prior to that, Mr. Stelmaschuk served as Chairman to NQL Drilling Tools Inc. (which was subsequently called NQL Energy Services) before retiring in 2001. Mr. Stelmaschuk has also served as a Vice-President of Midland Doherty Ltd. (an Investment Dealer) and has been President of two international companies.
